DIY Dried Orange Garland

DIY Dried Orange Garland

An easy and affordable decoration for any time of year.

What You'll Need

  • 6 oranges
  • Wooden beads
  • Twine
  • Plenty of dried bay leaves
  • Hole punch

Method

  1. Slice the oranges in to quarter inch slices and place on a line baking tray.
  2. Blot the oranges with a paper towel to remove excess surface moisture (to help speed up the drying process).
  3. Bake for 5-6 hours at 250 degrees Celsius, or until the oranges start to brown and dry.
  4. Leave them to cool.
  5. Now it's time to assemble your garland. Make a hole in the oranges and bay leaves and thread through the twine, intermittently adding in a wooden bead. Layer and stack the garland in any way you choose.
  6. Hang and enjoy (or give as a gift).

Tip

Switch up the dried fruit throughout the year for a quick refresh of your garland, or try adding different coloured beads for a pop of colour.
