An easy and affordable decoration for any time of year.
What You'll Need
- 6 oranges
- Wooden beads
- Twine
- Plenty of dried bay leaves
- Hole punch
Method
- Slice the oranges in to quarter inch slices and place on a line baking tray.
- Blot the oranges with a paper towel to remove excess surface moisture (to help speed up the drying process).
- Bake for 5-6 hours at 250 degrees Celsius, or until the oranges start to brown and dry.
- Leave them to cool.
- Now it's time to assemble your garland. Make a hole in the oranges and bay leaves and thread through the twine, intermittently adding in a wooden bead. Layer and stack the garland in any way you choose.
- Hang and enjoy (or give as a gift).
Tip
Switch up the dried fruit throughout the year for a quick refresh of your garland, or try adding different coloured beads for a pop of colour.
